I still have a lot of fun playing it. I might just 100% it because sometimes during the summer I have nothing else the fuck to do, which will be a long nightmare because of the unthinkable blue coins but why not.

I appreciate the obvious immersiveness in the game. It feels like you’re actually there, on a cohesive tropical island and that’s what makes it charming.

One negative, some of the levels are fucking cruel and tedious, and just plain broken. [The infamous pinball machine, the episode 8 gelato beach].

Another negative- the bosses are inconsistent. Either they’re stupid easy and repetitive like the goop piranhas, or they’re stupid tediously difficult to defeat like that eel in Noki bay..

I can appreciate how the floodless levels without the FLUDD crutch really give an oppurtunity to play out platforming skills- however with the mini games in particular, like the ones you enter secret caves to play- they’re just plain 3D doot doot doot block mini games that aren’t tied to the tropical theme all that much. Which breaks the immersiveness it was previously nailing.

I could go on but then this post would be too long
