Hey I’m a hs senior and now that I’ve got all my decisions, USC is 1 of 3 I’m considering. I got into USC for business economics and was accepted to the honors college and top scholars program. I’m not sure if anyone can answer this but it’s really hard for me to quantify how honors/top scholars compares to other highly ranked or prestigious universities. For reference, my other 2 choices are USC (in California) and Rice. I’ve heard USC say they have the top honors college in the country but my main concern is how this would compare to a degree from a more highly ranked university, or if employers would even see USC honors/top scholars as distinct? It’s a really hard choice between top student at a less selective college or average/below average student at a more selective college. My main concerns are career and earnings prospects and also the lifestyle of the college. I should prolly make a second post for this but if anyone can also comment on the lifestyle at USC, whether the majority of students are kind and supportive, and just overall, are you happy?
I know it’s a lot but I’m just really scared of making the wrong choice or missing out on something because I never considered it so I really appreciate any insight :)
