I’ve been on a bit of a retro kick lately and I have the itch to buy a Gameboy. The last one I had was the original version I had as a kid. I haven’t had any other Nintendo handheld until the Switch, when that came out.

I can’t decide between the color, advance or advance SP. Of course I’m aware the Advance SP is the ‘best’ of all the ones listed due to the backlit screen, ergonomics, portability and that the advance models can play all the games up to that point. However it does lack that ‘retro’ feel/look.

In an ideal world I do think I would really like a Gameboy color with the modded backlit screen, and transparent casing. But that might be a bit difficult to come by and of course lacks the ability to play the newer advance games.
