Is the Everdrive-GB X7 compatible with the OG GB?

I’m looking into possibly getting one as I received a refurbished OG GB for Christmas (new screen was placed into it with a backlight, and I can change the color hues of the screen), but it looks like the cartridge for the X7 can only play in a GBC by just looking at the picture of it. So does anybody know if it can or not play in an OG GB?

Also, can the OG GB play GBC rom using the Everdrive? The motherboard is still the OG’s original, and my brother-in-law, who got me the GB, doesn’t think GBC games can be played through it.
