Update... Gamestop reached out and solved my issue... Thank you so much!!
So a small story about my terrible experience so far with All three of these companies. Looking at you Gamestop, Sony, and I guess Bungie I pre-ordered a digital Deluxe edition of Destiny 2 from Gamestop.com I decided to take a break and finally download my copy.... Go to put the code in and it says it was already redeemed.. I assumed this must of been a mistake, so I tried the website redemption so I could copy the code and paste it easier.. Sure enough still a redeemed code. I called Gamestop and waited on hold for almost 45 mininutes before being told that I need to contact Sony as it's not a Gamestop issue (Even though I bought it from them)
So I called Sony... Explained the issue and they said since it wasnt purchased on the PSN I would need to contact Bungie.
I've posted on their forms, Tweeted, Facebooked with no success, but did find a blurb on thier website saying Bungie does not replace codes. Evidence here... https://i.imgur.com/HlomjHs.png
So I decided to call Gamestop again... Waited almost a hour only to be told the same thing again... I asked to speak to a manager.. Only for them to place blame on Sony.. So I call Sony.. Only to be pushed away once again.
I have worked in retail for over ten years... Seven of which were with Gamestop. This does not feel like the customer service I tried to give as a Assistant Manager with the company. This feels like a retailer who got their money and doesn't really care about the customer at all. I have always been a defender of this compnay to my friends and would send a lot of business their way... That may need to change.
So I've spent 8 or more hours with GameStop, Sony, and Bungie trying to fix this and they each tell me it's not their thing to fix and they send me somewhere else. Which is super depressing and feels like I wasted $100 and won't even get my game... TLDR---- Gamestop and Sony refusing to replace code for Destiny2 Deluxe edition that never worked for me... Keep sending me back and forth between the two companies with no actual support. Send halp please!
