Greetings, GameDealsMeta!
You'll find all of the same information above in the blog post where I tried to explain what the change is, but for the sake of wholeness, I wanted to add my own bit of information here and ensure that you don't need to click away from this post to know what's happening. The link above is just in case you want to see the extended version speaking a bit more about it.
Over this last year, we've been taking steps to implement some of your most requested features. Evident first with our very first GOG sale starring Bethesda and now, we're changing the way that Build Your Own Bundle works here at Fanatical. This change has been done to improve the user experience in our store and it was built to ensure that we were granting the best possible experience for you while you shop bundles.
This change comes from knowing that many have struggled to fill a bundle — we know many of you found yourselves with extra or fewer keys than needed to hit specific tiers, forcing you to make a decision we never feel you should have had to make in the first place: let go of one key or buy an extra you don't want. In the example I gave in the blog post, if the tiers are 3/5/7 and you picked four games, we don't want to force you to add a game and we don't want to force you to let go of something you want, either. So to remedy this, we've changed the way tiers are handled in our bundles.
Essentially, you can add as many games as you want to your tier and the price will be calculated, instead, by your total price-per-item. You might have four games even though the minimum is three and the next tier is five, so we'll calculate it by how much each game costs in your current tier and then add that as the extra price, adjusting the bundle to your benefit. We still have the incentivisation of adding more games by lowering the price at higher tiers (the higher your tier, the lower your price-per-item is), but you can now — freely — choose how you want to approach the bundle. We don't want to restrict you to a set number of keys only, or even a limit of games (you can qualify for the higher tier and then keep adding as many games as you want, getting the lowest price-per-game for as many titles as you add).
I will be here to answer any queries or forward any feedback you want! I hope you're as excited for this change as I am, and I hope you have a good one!
