Is there anyway to change the boot animation on the stock ROM of a rooted galaxy s3?

I have tried all methods I can find, (using the application within ROM Toolbox, physically moving a bootanimation.zip file to system/bin, system/media, and data/local... <---Not all at once... and changing permissions to match, and have also tried removing the stock bootanimation file and replacing it.) but the most I can get to happen is the stock boot animation to completely dissapper. Any help would be greatly appricated.
