Way to disable an app easily?

I'm coming from the Pixel 6 where I could disable an app by long holding it. It would turn grey and then that would reset at midnight (that always annoyed me). Is there something like this on the Galaxy S23? I would like to easily disable an app from being on or turning on in the background (preferably indefinitely) and then reenable it easily.
