EDIT:Confirmed with the head tech at my local repair centre who I've known for ages, Samsung is intentionally not covering the zfold2, He told me to definitely sell it and go with another brand.
Just got a call saying my phone won't be covered, despite the first report saying the phone is in immaculate condition and getting sent back unrepaired cus the tech could not even see the crack cus it was so small , second time through told they found the crack but no coverage, I filed an ACL claim (magic bullet in Australia) , 2 weeks later and again I'm told it won't be covered.
The crack is directly in front of the bottom bumper in the centre crease and has quite literally no damage to the screen otherwise.
This despite the fact that I've been in IT for years, know most of the dudes at Samsung on a personal level and the lady I was dealing with realized who I was and we had a 30 minute catch up and she said "of course ill get it covered for you, as if you broke it and tried to claim it"
3 weeks without my phone and now I'm forced to pay the "super duper once off $220 fee" for repair to get it it back.
Yep. Samsung 100% are purposely saying no to obvious repair claims.
I'm selling it when it comes back and I'll f*ckin wait for another less garbage company to make a folding phone. Done with Samsung forever.
Note to all owners of zfold2, sell it before it breaks and get the next gen.
