So I was eyeing Gal Civ 4 after seeing some videos on it by Montu and PotatoMcWhiskey, but I wanted to ask some specific questions regarding the game and how it compares to Stellaris and Age of Wonders.
I understand its turn based, which I like and am fine with.
What I am wanting though is a game that will let me play a very pacifist / exploration styled game. When I tried Age of Wonders 4 recently I found that the endless combat was not to my liking.
What I enjoy at least, when I play Stellaris, is playing with very few, sometimes even no other empires on the map, and just play to explore the randomly generate galaxy, build my empire, and deal with the empires that crop up as the game is played. I also enjoy the narrative events that Stellaris has.
How does Gal Civ 4 compare to Stellaris in this regard? Can I play a more diplomacy / culture type game plan, with a focus on exploring the galaxy? Are there plenty of fun events and stories to encounter?
