Definitions:

I’m a mom. I’d lawyer him up and make a deal to avoid the death penalty. I’d mourn/grieve, but we would have a path forward. He’d take accountability. As would I. The alternative of him being on the run or taking his own life alone in a swamp is just so awful. I’d be with him every awful step of the way and it would be devastating. But that’s how I’d choose to protect him. I talk to him about how choices have consequences every day (he’s 3) and those conversations won’t stop happening.
