Hey everyone! You know that we've had some recent changes to our mod team which now includes u/AdorableFlirt, u/eviescarlette, u/happygoth5433 and u/vixenofvices!

We've done a lot to clean the subreddit up since the changes took place this last month, and we've taken on board feedback from our members to keep r/GWNerdy the friendly and welcoming place that it has always has been while still encouraging the wonderful posts we're known for. We're making sure we're around to take care of verifications, approvals and removals in a timely manner going forward, and we always appreciate your help in reporting anything that you feel breaks the subreddit rules. ALL reports will be personally inspected by the team to determine the best action for the offending content. We also like to keep communication lines open for any concerns or feedback, and you are always welcome to contact us via modmail.

Here are our updated rules and all the info you need to get started:

Rules

• Rule 1. No Rude Comments. Be nice to our posters or be banned.
• Rule 2. No Revealing Personal Information. This includes RL information and account names.
• Rule 3. Posts must be nerdy*. Posts will be removed if they are not nerdy or the reference is too subtle. Based on mod discretion.
• Rule 4. No low-effort posts. This includes posts that ONLY feature controllers, headsets, Bad Dragons, nerdy glasses, augmented reality overlays or photoshopped images. There must be another nerdy* reference in the actual post.
• Rule 5. No Advertising. Sellers are allowed to post here but cannot directly advertise their services on this subreddit. Please do not report someone for selling in other subreddits--only report if the user is posting or commenting their contact information or services direct on this sub.
• Rule 6. Use the correct gender tag in your title. You must label each post with a gender tag. The tags we allow are [F], [M], and [T]. Including an age or using parenthesis (F) instead of square brackets will break the post. We also only accept original content, so don't post or cross-post anyone that isn't you.
• Rule 7. Verification is encouraged to post. Users must be verified for their posts to be automatically approved. Nerdification details can be found below.

What is "nerdy enough?"

• The approved list: Sci-fi and fantasy books, TV and/or movies. Comic books. Video games. Gaming merchandise. Tabletop and board games. Anime. Disney. Cosplay. Anything STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math). Music in some cases.
• Non-nerdy book posts should remain at r/gwbooks.
• "Nerdy Glasses" posts. There needs to be another reference to something nerdy.
• Nerdy Tattoos are awesome and we love them! We ask that posts only featuring only your tattoos be limited to a few posts.
• Video games and gaming merchandise are welcome, but we do not allow posts that ONLY feature controllers or headsets. Please head over to r/DirtyGaming if you'd like to show these off on their own.
• Bad Dragons are allowed as long as there is another nerdy* reference in the post. We recommend r/BadDragon for posts that ONLY feature BD dildos.
• Augmented reality and photoshopped overlays will be removed. There must be another nerdy* reference in the actual post.

Nerdification instructions

Nerdification is this sub's form of Verification found on other "gonewild" subs. Not only do you get a sweet pair of nerdy glasses as your flair, you also get auto-approval of all your posts here! You are still subject to following the same rules as everyone else, nerdified or not, and if you break the rules, you will be stripped of your nerdification.

To be nerdified, modmail us your picture. You may host photos in a PRIVATE imgur link. Your picture must contain the following:

1. Enough of your body showing so that we can match it to your posting history. You do NOT have to be nude or show face, but we must be able to identify you.

2. You must hold a handwritten sign with your Reddit username, a recent date, and r/GWNerdy written on it.

Alternatively, if you are verified on another GoneWild subreddit or a reputable selling sub like r/Sexsells, you can send us a link to a post showing verification flair on the other sub and we will accept that.
