Part Three: The Fortune Teller
I'd hoped the kid's missing sister might be able to give me a lead. But I knew that she wouldn't be of any help if I couldn't find the damn girl. I didn't have a lot of options. And I was desperate enough to do something that I rarely ever did-ask for help. Of course, help is limited in the slums. Here, it's every man for himself.
Good thing I wasn't planning on asking a man.
Our lovely lady detective isn't having much success lately: the sister is still missing and the cops still don't have any leads as to who killed the kid. No one seems to know anything. Sometimes, you just have to hope that fate will provide the answers. Maybe Lady Luck will find her in this third installment of the noir series from the wonderful mind of u/totallynotnatalie.
