This is something I've been wondering about trying, but I wanted to check how likely it was to work (ie, get bites). The basic idea is a series that's the same story, but each part is voiced by a different VA, playing a different character. There is a running story between the encounters that make up the audios, which is alluded to as much as necessary to make a coherent narrative without getting in the way.
For an example, say part 1 is our secret agent protagonist taking the flirting with his boss' secretary a step further. Part 2 is him tangling and "tangling" with a beautiful assassin, and part 3 is him bound and at the mercy of the sexy arch-villainess.
It feels like something that has potential (and involves less commitment from any one VA than a series with the same characters in each), but I haven't noticed anyone else try this yet, so I thought it was worth checking.
