Let's talk about sequels and series
Post Body

Have you ever written a script, then thought to yourself, "I wonder where these people ended up next?" Currently I'm in the middle of one sequel, with a second one in the pipeline.

That got me wondering how you've dealt with sequels, follow-ups, series, or any other continuing stories. What have you done to keep the tone consistent from one script to the next? Are sequel scripts as popular as originals? What other tips, suggestions, or pitfall warnings do you have?

I'd love to see your thoughts.
