Scripts with listener interaction. Yes or no?

Post Body

I try to make my scripts interactive in some way, especially for those where I want to create intamacy. eg. The V.A asks questions, responds as if the listener replied.

I've noticed that some of the more popular scripts consist of - to put it simply - monologuing to the listener. It works most of the time, but I feel it's not capturing the full range of what can be done with the medium.

My question is, does encouraging interaction help with immersion or stifle it?
