Hello ScriptGuild Folks!

I was just wondering, since I've seen many scripts with the name "Goth Girl" in the title, like who are these Goth girls and why are they so popular?

To my knowledge and in my culture (italian), Goth girls are females who listen to a specific genre of music, they like to dress with a specific look and they wear a specific make up. But in terms of personality, what's the difference between a Goth girl and a "regular" girl? Maybe they speak in a different way or have a different attitude?

Plus, why nobody cares about Goth Boys? I haven't seen many scripts with them as main characters, but maybe It's just that I haven't found them. Or is it because they are not so appealing?

I'm always worried about making these type of questions because I dunno, I might offend somebody (?). But, seriously, I don't understand. Can you guys please help me out on this topic?
