Hello all!
A Shakespeare inspired script for today!
So, Romeo & Juliet gets a lot of flak, which I personally think is mostly undeserved. Then again, maybe I’m just a hopeless romantic. Regardless, I wanted to give R&J some appreciation!
Synopsis: No specific setting here, but this script loosely follows the basic plot of Romeo & Juliet, wherein the speaker and the listener are young lovers, prevented from being together because of their quarreling families. Unbeknownst to their parents, the two of them have spent the night together, in the listener’s home. The speaker attempts to leave early the next morning, but is then followed by the listener, who refuses to let him go so soon. They proceed to the gardens, where they continue their affair, attempting to avoid detection.
As always, feel free to improv as much or as little as you wish. I would love to hear your interpretation. And, if you do fill this, then please let me know!
You can find the script here.
And, if you would like to check out any of my other scripts, you can find my master list of scripts here.
Thanks!
