Hey guys and gals!

I'm u/Taurean_adift and pleased to be here. I've an embarrassing confession - there's a typo in my name! (shld've been "adrift" LOL #writersworstfails).

I've had a sudden burst of energy the past week and now just about catching my breath and taking my time to explore this sub. I must really apologize for not introducing myself earlier before barging in. *cringe So, hello!

I've always wanted to write fiction as a profession and here's your dollar for every time you've heard that before. My creative outlet, besides work, was a personal blog but that's long dead and lately, just felt a sudden urge to start writing for fun again and GWA has always been one of my fav haunts.

Anyway, uh... I've a couple questions, hope if any of you wld oblige,

  1. Posting scripts here vs GWA - if I post a script in GWA, can I post it here again? Do scripts get noticed by performers here or mostly for discussion among fellow writers?
  2. How long before a posted script is allowed to be reposted? (do you know the etiquette for GWA too? Don't wanna spam the same question)
  3. Sending scripts directly to performers - what is the etiquette or rule? Is it frowned upon?

Some personal experience, if any of you like to share:

  1. How do you write consistently over a long period? I've noticed writers from few years regularly posting. Me, I have "creative bursts" and then burn myself out LOL.
  2. Do you get discouraged if your scripts don't get filled? I enjoy writing as is, but then this is an audio community and the metric sadly is getting the story performed.
  3. How long before your first ever script fill? For those not so lucky ones, what kept you writing and contributing even with the thought you're just adding one more that few will ever read.
  4. Not a question, but always open to any feedback. On my scripts, language, if I'm doing anything wrong, etc.

Thanks y'all!
