This is the fourth part of my 'Love and War' series of scripts set in a manor house circa 1940s. The female listener/protagonist is a servant girl who is having a long-standing secret affair with the master of the house. Early this morning, the master was teased particularly cruelly by her, embarrassing him in front of the housekeeper. He's been waiting all day for her to come to him, and tonight he really needs to get rid of all his pent-up frustration...

Mm, yes, my girl, I am impatient tonight. And it is you who has made me so.
[He kisses her forcefully then breaks off]
[Panting] But no, no... first things first, my girl. I need to know – are you ready?
[Sly laugh] Don’t try me, you wicked thing. You know what I mean. Are you ready?
Mm-hmm. And you came here willingly, didn’t you, my girl? You understand what that means...? You understand what has to happen now...?
[Pause]
Very good.
Because tonight, my beautiful, sinful girl...
[He kisses her gently]
[Whispering] ... I will not be able to hold myself back.
