Following one of the most brutal nights of their lives, our dashing couple find themselves with only one way out of the dire situation they’re in: Forwards. After spending the night in the city’s finest zero-star motel; Paradise Resort, the couple make a plan to sell off this weird tech that they pulled from an ultra-secure mainframe. If only the City would let it be so easy…

I didn't really ever plan on going back to this city. But no matter how far you run, no matter how much you try, it's got a way of dragging you back in. In my case, however, I'm now more than willing to take the plunge headlong into the murky streets of this cyberpunk metropolis.

But we need to backup a bit. How on earth did you end up here, Del?

It all began with the first script I actually finished: This City is Going to Kill Us, Babe. Granted, it's only two weeks ago, but I'm still quite happy with the script. I thought it was alright. A couple of people asked about potential follow-ups, but I didn't have any solid ideas.

That was until that script got filled. If you haven't heard u/cinnnamonn 's fill, go check it out, it's an immersive masterpiece.

Just hearing what could be done with even my ham-handed first script may have sent me a little insane. The possibilities. They laid before me. Infinitely repeating. Or to be less dramatique, I kinda went a bit nuts, wrote up the full outline to an entire multi chapter plot, and then this follow-up chapter in a couple of days. To assuage some concerns: Yes, I have slept. Not much, but I have slept.

Now. The important bits.

This script is a fucking whopper. It's 8 words shy of 5k. However, a lot of those words haven't come from drastically more plot, or dialogue, no. ^{There still is a fair bit more dialogue} A lot has come from a test I was doing with a new formatting scheme, that's going to allow me to write for multiple characters in a single script in a way that's hopefully clearer. The other major addition was the introduction of a far more detailed set of SFX cues. These two additions have let me really push some more ambitious ideas forward. Like, say, a full-on shootout scene in front of an abandoned warehouse?

Yeah, I kinda went and put a whole action setpiece at the end. But what about the lewdness, Del?

I gotcha covered. This chapter originally had one of the weaker erotic scenes in the series when looked at from the outline, but god damn, without spoiling too much, I'm really happy with the direction I ended up taking, playing around with a lot of perception shifts, and the blending of two people's perspectives and sensations during sex.

This is definitely my most ambitious script so far, and while I'm happy with it, I'm just wanting to gauge some reactions to see just how many marbles I've lost.
