Summary: The listener is withdrawn and shy and his mother's criticism and emotional distance has negatively impacted his self-esteem and mental health. The mother (the speaker) has realized this and is seeing a therapist for advice on how to repair their relationship. When she catches her son watching pornography, she decides to try out some "mother-son reconciliation exercises" her therapist suggested. These exercises are... unorthodox, but end up working as intended.
