Hello there,

It's me, Darling, and I am on my knees apologizing right now, because this was supposed to be finished and posted last week. This is my most ambitious script yet, with scene changes, SFX galore (always optional), and slightly more worldbuilding than I should've written, haha. Fantasy pieces always manage to distract me more than they should.

I really liked the speaker role's characterization in this script. He's a bit of a red flag, but I'm wearing rose colored glasses. It was fun balancing his commanding kingliness and gentle affection.

Here's the script!

Speaker POV: You were injured in an attack by slavers while on a hunting trip with your royal court and are separated in the confusion. You stumble upon a remote cabin and are saved by a human woman: the listener. She tends to your wounds, but as you start to heal, you realize that you don't want to leave her side. Every elven person has their soulmate, and you've found her. You can't leave her, even if you have to lie about your injuries to stay by her side.

Listener POV: A wounded elven man showed up on your doorstep a few months ago, and being the kind person you are, you took him in to nurse him back to health. You can't help but start to fall for him, even when he's sometimes arrogant and commanding. Your heart breaks as you realize he will outlive you by centuries, and so you stifle your feelings. Lately, however, you've noticed his eyes lingering, and how his wounds have suspiciously never healed.
