Oh, please— those tests where you scored better than I did were flukes. Everyone has their off days, and just because you caught me during a couple of mine doesn’t mean anything.
... You’re so cute when you’re angry.
But is this really all worth worrying about right now? /u/venusthewriter/m4f-si-quid-ages-statim-iubeto-if-you-want-it">Or would it be more worth it to worry about how good my lips feel on yours?

you know what this audio porn community needs more of? classical latin.
ANYWAY, i've been tossing this idea back and forth in my head for a hot minute, and it has finally come together into something at least mostly-coherent for SCRIPT WEEK DAY SIX. as someone who has been learning and translating latin for about half a decade now, i wanted to see what it would look like if i incorporated some into a script.
a "how does reading something in latin work" note: this script features the reading of a poem by Gaius Valerius Catullus, a poet from the late Roman Republic. i'm going to assume that your average GWA member doesn't know how to read latin (or at least read it well), and so i have linked a reading of the poem, both in english and its original latin here.
though the tone will obviously be different, the inflection should stay relatively the same (i.e. the way you pronounce the words, and where the emphasis falls). syllabic emphasis is vitally important to latin, in a way that it isn't in (non-poetic) english! that being said, any attempt is a good attempt, and i would love to hear what you might make of it.
the two biggest differences between modern english and classical latin pronunciation-wise is that latin v's sound like english w's, and c's are always hard consonants (they sound like a k rather than an s) (unless you wanna get ecclesiastical with it, but i would advise against it for this poem lol)
anyway! bit of a departure from my usual stuff, but i really like the way this one came out! let me know what you think!
xoxo, love venus 💖
other stuff from me:
boring boilerplate: this is my own original content, featuring exclusively characters who are above the age of 18. please do not repost this script anywhere, and please do not post fills of this script behind any paywalls. also, if you fill it, please let me know in the comments!
