Hello all! I am new to scriptwriting and wanted to introduce myself. I used to casually write fanfiction as a teenager and was a huge theater kid. It's been years since I've done anything creative, and just felt inspired to give scriptwriting a shot. I'm trying to go in with the mindset of learning by jumping in the deep end and just getting the words out on paper, haha. I'm really appreciating all of the guides in this subreddit.
I'm a big fan of the entire romance genre. I think I read a YA romance novel at age 13 and it permanently altered my brain chemistry or something because I never stopped reading them after that.
Obviously, erotica overlaps with a lot of romance media. So I am looking forward to leveraging my favorite romance tropes in erotic scriptwriting. It is an interesting challenge trying to adjust to the mindset of scriptwriting (especially with the 1-way aspect), coming from primarily reading novels.
I tend to lean towards consuming/writing dark romance tropes. What can I say, I do love a good villain...
I've written one script so far. Looking forward to writing more and sharing here!
