Background: One of my favorite books is Christopher Moore's "Sacré Bleu". It's an amazing and funny book that takes pace among the impressionist painters in the Montmartre region of Paris. It is about art, love, loss, an ancient muse, and the color blue. I cannot recommend it enough. Please go read it and then DM me and we'll talk about it. (As an aside, the audiobook version is amazingly well done.)
The "Interlude in Blue" title of my script, as well as the "well, you can leave your socks on if you want to" joke are lifted directly from the novel. The rest is my imagination. Please don't sue me, Mr. Moore.
Aaaaaaaaaaand, I just realized that I wrote fan-fic for my favorite novel.
Summary: You are an painter, but what you want to be is a true artist. You're technically competent and learning every day but there's still something missing. One day, a beautiful young woman asks you to paint a portrait of her, and inspires you to paint your first true masterpiece.
