Hello all!
It's been a very long time since I've posted anything at all - many apologies for that. And here we are, now in 2023, so it seemed like it was time to change that. This one very much SFW and fairytale-inspired, so I hope it brings some sweetness and joy to your day.
Synopsis: This script is based on a relatively obscure French fairy tale: âThe Blue Bird.â The plot is fairly complicated, so I wonât get into too much detail, but itâs basically about a prince who is in love with a princess â their relationship is complicated by the princessâs stepmother, the queen, who is set on the prince marrying her own daughter, the princessâs stepsister. The queen attempts to disguise her own daughter as the princess to trick the prince into asking the stepsister to marry him. When the prince learns of the queenâs schemes, he refuses to marry the stepsister. In retribution, the stepsisterâs fairy godmother transforms him into a bluebird. Angry with the princess for interfering with her plans, the queen confines the princess to her tower indefinitely. Still a bluebird, the prince periodically visits her in her tower, watching and singing to her from the nearby trees. After some time, he finally gathers the courage to speak to her after so many days of hoping that she would recognize his song.
As always, feel free to make changes and improv as much or as little as you wish. I would love to hear your interpretation. And, if you do fill this, then please let me know!
