[Question] I've noticed it takes a lot longer for script offers to be recorded by people now compared to 7 or 8 years ago.

Post Body

7 or 8 years ago when I posted script offers it didn't take too long for at least my script to read/recorded by at least 2 or 3 guys. I've been posting scripts to GWA/PTA/Audio Candy for a month now and one of my scripts have been recorded once. It seems more of the norm now that if you have a script you have to seek out an individual person and ask them personally to record it for you. Scripts need to be written to fill a performers interests/style for them to record it for you. Back then male performers used to record whatever script offers was listed that were newly available. There seems to be a huge decline in male performers over the last 7 years. More male performers now seem to take specific requests, so scripts are written specifically for certain male performers to record instead of how it used to be that guys just recorded whatever was offered. I also notice it's a very female performer driven community now instead of back then. I see a lot less male performers now than 7 or 8 years ago. Guys back then just would record whatever was available cause they thought it was fun and they wanted to record as many audios for people as possible.

I went ahead and just deleted all my scripts/Script requests from Reddit.
