Two women, now reunited, greet each other with joy and a tinge of sorrow—both swimming in thoughts of yesterdays, what could’ve been, and all the things left unsaid.

You know when you reunite with a close friend who you haven’t seen in years, and yes you’re happy to see them but you also get somewhat nervous and awkward as fuck because things aren’t what they used to be? That’s how I imagine the speaker is, but a bit more anxious because of her long-buried feelings for the listener. I tried my best to convey the slight awkwardness and anxiety that comes with reuniting with a distant friend, let alone one you have feelings for. Not that I have experience with that matter. Anyway. I didn't want to write my paper (due next week) so I procrastinated by... writing. God, this is ridiculous. If you're still reading up to this point, I envy your attention span.
