I'm new to script writing, and I've started on a script where there's lots of difficult decisions to be made. The speaker is based off of John – Jane, in the script – Doe, from the Telltale Batman game series.
I am just wondering if any fans of the series, or people interested in the script, had any preferences. If I can't decide, but if anyone has any preferences I'll aim for them. Else I'll likely end up writing a few variants of tve script. Here are my options I can't choose between.
1) Should the listener be whoever, or should they be a form of Batman? It makes more sense to have the listener as the character "Bryce" Wayne, considering who the speaker is, but I'm also not sure if people would prefer to put themselves without any presumptuons or more specific petnames (Batsy, Bats, Wayne) into the scene. What would people prefer?
2) In Akrham or post Arkham? I feel like in Arkham would make a little more sense depending on decision 1, and the person who has made me want to write this mentioned they'd like a more dorky Jane Doe. However, there could be more fun to be had in a post Arkham script, as there's then the choice of vigilante or villain John, or maybe in the Pact. Harley could feature if people are interested in that? If I go for a script set towards the end of the games, I'll definitely made two scripts for the different Joker outcomes, but I don't know whether to do that or just stick to Arkham Asylum Doe.
Was just wondering. Even if you're not a fan of the series, if you're into criminally insane characters, let me know if you've any thoughts. All suggestions and such are appreciated :-)
