Yahallo, everybody! Now, we're into hosting September. Many thanks to u/POVScribe and u/BP4HP for keeping the karaoke challenge going for so long! My turn.

For folks unfamiliar with the tradition, this event is a karaoke challenge where we feature a special theme every month to tempt all of youse music lovers. Share your songs with us, and I'm here to add 'em to the list!

Now, it's getting into autumn for some parts of the world, and the leaves are turning golden, red, orange and crackly, the golden hour is more like the golden hour and a half, and crisp breezes are swishing through the air. It's a time for parting and a time for remembrance, but let's leave behind the nostalgia of yesterday last month, and go to something a little more bittersweet, a little more melancholy. Or, if that's not to your taste and you'd much rather rage, rage against the dying of the light**,** you can do that too!

And for the rest of us in other parts of the world, it's getting into spring, but we're all in lockdown or just got out of it, so it's time for some melancholy and/or kickass songs to commemorate our lack of seeing anything but the same four walls dreams of a better time! (Yes, I'm in lockdown.)

Now, remember: This is a casual event just for fun. No matter your experience-level with music, you are welcome here. There are no bad singers at GWAB Singers, and if anyone's wanting to claim otherwise, do send them my way. I've been meaning to get some... fresh air, if you know what I mean. 😉

A few rules

• Up to 2 songs per username. You can also reserve in advance, and it's first come, first served. I will update the songs in the table as the songs are reserved.
• No multiples of the same song please, unless they're different language versions.
• Collaborations with other posters are most welcome! Only one member needs to register so for all others, and these don't count for your two-song limit.
• Comment right below to reserve songs (noting original artist/composer as applicable) and post your finished songs in the thread when they're ready! If you have questions, please feel free to message me.
• Consider 11:59 am on Thursday, 30th of September 2021 in UTC/GMT as a deadline. I will make a “Wrap Up” post containing all the finished submissions around then, but we can keep accepting last-minute entries for a few days after that.
