Audacity now collecting your info

Just saw on Twitter, confirmed on /r/Audacity and elsewhere that Audacity has been purchased by a Russian owned company.
New user terms allow Audacity to collect info on your pc, your ip address and "information required by law enforcement." Yikes
The last safe update is supposedly 2.4.2 - here is a fork on github - they are working on the name.
