Hey y’all,

💐 Happy Spring! 💐

Welcome to the longest weeks of every year -- at least, in my experience. First, the sun starts coming up earlier, shining brighter, staying up later ... then it gets warmer and warmer, little by little; every day starts to feel just a little too humid, all of a sudden? ... and then bam: you lose an hour and everything comes crashing down. in a normal year, we’d all feel a tad ... “off” right now -- and outside is still closed, so this ain’t a normal year 👩🏾‍💻

Anyway. What i’m trying to say is that despite all our best intentions (Stacey Ambrams flipped Georgia!! Biden’s ... gonna replace Trump!! That’s a win!; Folks are finally getting vaccines and hugging their friends and making plans again ... ✨ Maybe we’ll *finally get a new Rihanna album this year, after all??* ✨🤞🏾) 2021 hasn’t gotten off to the most positive start.

But I think we have the power to change that -- At least, in our little kinky corner of the internet.

🎉 I want to hit the reset button for Spring 2021 🎉

This community is incredibly powerful when we work together and focus our efforts on something positive and collaborative. Basically: Y’all are all incredibly talented, and when you work together, awesome things happen. Let’s start over for spring, shake all the negative energy from last year away and share some good vibes with our fellow GWA creators 💛

Seaux: In the spirit of positive vibes and collaborative values, please share something you’ve done in your time as a member of this community that you’re proud of!

This can be literally anything:

  • An audio or script that you wrote, edited, performed in or collabed in the creation of (and i mean any part of the creation process, including beta reading, beta listening, brainstorming, and giving feedback!)
  • A script/audio idea that you inspired, either directly or indirectly
  • Any and all content that you’ve writted, edited, produced, or performed in
  • ^ All the above, but also for all collabs/multi-voice/multi-writer projects or series’s that you’ve contributed to
  • Content you’ve come across from a older community members you admired that’s been archived/is unavailable for comment
    • and it’s always been archived for, like, years, right? way too long for you to find a way to bring anything without being weird, right?? trust me, i know what that’s like 🥴

It could even be:

  • A well-written, formatted, and action-oriented community/new member guide (seriously, these are like crack to me)
  • A badass CYOA script archive template that you’d like to show off
    • Hi, hello: i’m currently in the middle of updating my script archive to include gender of performer, titles, tags, fills, and descriptions -- so if you have any tips or tricks for this, i will personally celebrate you for the rest of the month 👀
  • A script/series/project idea you’re really proud of coming up with & can’t wait to share with more members of the community
  • An improv scenario/set of tags/line of dialogue you can’t wait to bust out the next time you sit down in front of a mic
  • I will even accept something fun you’ve learned about yourself, or a really cool friendship you never expected to make, or a video game you streamed that ended up bringing you waaaaay closer to your friends than you thought.

Just share a happy/fun/warm and fuzzy community memory with me, y’all! Anything counts 💛

Thanks in advance!

Best, Meg (and The Lighthouse)
