Hello Backstage. 💌
It’s Valentine’s Day next week, so I figured for the annual obligation I thought I’d tell you how much I love and appreciate you, and the community. Since I won’t say it any other day… ;) I'd like to thank you all for what you do and what you bring to the audible world. Thank you so very much.
So here's some questions I'd like to ask you.
How does logging in to see an orange envelope make you feel? ✉
What sort of comments, DMs or 'confessions of love', do you prefer? Short and sweet? Long and detailed? Praise or constructive feedback?
Is feedback really encouraged? Or is it better to see if OP invites said feedback?
What do you love about yourself? (In general, and whether you are a performer, scriptwriter, editor, sound mixer, listener or lurker, share with us what you love about what you do.)
What do you love about the community?
What’s the nicest thing that you have done or been given? (Your answer does not have to be limited to this community.)
If I could get you anything as a Valentine’s, what would that be? (Something to eat or drink? Flowers? A stuffed toy? A handwritten letter?)
How would you rank the Five Love Languages according to you?
- Words of Affirmations
- Physical Touch
- Gifts
- Quality Time
- Acts of Service
Take a moment to breathe and please take care of yourself. You are loved. You are valued.
Valentine's Day commercial holiday or not, it is a great opportunity to be sappy and remind those close to you that you love them. Though, every day could easily be Valentine's Day if it were about the spread of love. (For you smile and then you make someone smile, then they too will make someone smile. So it can be applied to a ripple of love that may result in waves of love.)
So, go spread some love and give yourself some self-love. Yes, I mean it in both ways- go love yourself!
Thank you for reading, and I look forward to all of your answers.
Bonus optional questions:
- Are there any words of love you’d to share? (Feel free to gush about the community, a book or audio, or something/someone you love etc. No, namedropping pretty please or I’ll have to force feed you cookies...)
Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in the world. It is distinctive for its mother-of-pearl sheen, and steam rises from the potion in spirals. Amortentia smells different to each person, according to what attracts them.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
- What would it smell like to you? Or applied to the audible world, if it were a sound that attracts you, what would it sound like to you?
🍪 Have a wonderful day, afternoon, evening etc.
