No not Jeniffer Rush or Huey Lewis and the News, this is Frankie Goes to Hollywood's song which was a Christmas song even though there's no mention of the word Christmas in the song title or lyrics but the video was a Nativity Scene.
I love this song which takes me back to the 80's when I had no care in the world.
FGTH were very controversial in the 80's with the song Relax, really up beat energy song which got banned from BBCs Radio One even though it went to Number 1. The single spent just one week at Number One in the UK in 1984, which was outsold by the charity single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" by Band Aid.
"The Power of Love" was also a top 10 hit in several European countries, in Australia and New Zealand, and in Canada. Don't think it got anywhere in the US Billboard though.
I hope you enjoy this cover and I do it some kind of justice.
