Hi Performers & Experienced Writers!
My general question is about posting a SFX-heavy script, and one with quite a bit room to be creative in the editing process. I imagine that would that turn most performers away. Are there ways to promote a script as sort of a SFX challenge, or advanced-level editing skills required? Is this generally frowned upon, as it can be exclusive and extra demanding of the performer's time and skills?
All of my scripts so far have had very basic SFX, which have been optional. I generally prefer to keep my scripts easy to record so as to be as accessible as possible. But I have a script idea that would require a more advanced-level of editing, or at least I'd strongly prefer that in this case. It would also present an opportunity for the performer to take quite a bit of creative license, which could be seen as a bonus depending on the performer. I'd like to get a feel for how that would fly in the GWA community. I haven't actually written this script yet, so depending on your thoughts and feedback I may or may not invest the time to do it.
Thank you kindly, everyone 🙏
