Audio Equipment and Programs Discussion
Post Body

As a curious individual (and massive nerd), I was wondering what equipment and programs performers here use. How do you like it? What do you do to get the most bang for your buck. Don't worry if you just use your phone, I'd like to hear about that as well. What type of phone do use? Do you have any tricks to make the sound quality work better for you?

I'll start, because it'd rude to ask and not share. I use the Audio Technica ATR2100 with a pop filter and desk stand. Advice for someone looking to get a mic stand: don't get one that attaches to your desk. Any slight bump or nudge to your desk will send vibrations to the mic that will make your audios sound like you pimp slap your mic because it owes you money.

For programs, I use Adobe Audition and Premiere. I honestly love editing it in there because then, and only then, I can pretend like I know what I'm doing. By the end of my more ambitious projects, it can get ridiculous. Honestly, my audios should be a lot better considering what I have.

And no, before you ask, I don't have this just to make audios for free on Reddit. A while back, my friend convinced me to get all this so we can stream on Twitch and "become super cool" as he put it. I was an idiot back then, don't judge me.

So, I am curious as to what everyone else uses. Please share, if you feel so inclined.
