If I may, could I suggest a different version of the accent challenge?
That is, to fill a script/read your favorite poem/passage from a book etc. in an accent that is not your own?
Of course, I'd hate for people to get offended so I'd understand if people object to the idea, but if we all took this in jest I think we'd all have a lot of fun trying our hand at different pronunciations from different countries!
Like I just mentioned, feel free to choose your own words, or if you'd rather have a template to go off of, feel free to pronounce the phrases below (arbitrarily chosen by yours truly and subject to change):
- Four score and seven years ago
- Sherbet/sherbert
- I can't believe I'm doing this.
- Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
- Skeletal
- ___ are my favo(u)rite fruit.
- Are you alright?
- Tomfoolery
- Milk snatcher
- Subcutaneous
- I could eat ___ every day.
- Macarons
- Wild, wild audios
- I'm really more of a ___ person myself.
- Hodgepodge
I'd be tickled pink if anyone decided to try this out.
Thanks for reading!
