Nerdy grad student is bit by a radioactive spider and gains superpowers. We all know the story, right? Wrong! This story is about Spinnerette, a grad student that fell into a mutation pool at work after being bit and gains four additional arms, and the ability to shoot webs from her butt. Wait! It's better than it sounds! The character even has her own action figure!
Ok, how about I make it up to you with a more serious podcast? This podcast is covers all the mysteries of physics in detail... about comic books. Actually, this podcast delivers bite-sized podcasts of about 10 minutes and goes into deep details in how a particular idea in comics might work, or not work in the world of real-world physics. It tackles exotic metals like vibranium, Spiderman's webswinging, to Nick Fury's spygear, the powers of Superman, and even the diet of Galactus. Fun stuff can be found at Comic Book Physics at Bureau 42. And if you have a true interest in learning, you can find several informative lessons on math and physics at Bureau 42 teaches.
