• Dr. Em's World of Webcomics: - This week, I bring you.... Age Matters
Rose is turning 30, and hasn't made a mark in life. After a bad breakup over the social network Lime, she takes an offer from a friend to move in with her. In return, she cooks meals for both of them as well as the friends boss. A mysterious man that lives in the next door apartment. The friend cleans the apartment, and drops off meals, but has never met her employer. Then the friend falls in love and takes off leaving the job to Rose. Rose isn't quite as complacent as her friend and finds out the employer is the reclusive young billionaire Yoon, who happens to own Lime. The awkward fumblings of the two lead to a fun story of unusual pairings in friendship that might blossom into love, or something better for the two in the long run. (The last is my true hope they stick to just being friends. 😉)
• [Mr]Liquorice's Luscious Licks: No Point in Living - Misery and Ashbringer - Shrine of Loss
So the two tracks I have for you today are only coincidentally sad-sounding. I happened to come across some more dope music recently, not as funky haha. Both of these tracks are black metal, the first one being No Point in Living. This band from Japan injects some cool influences into depressive suicidal black metal (DSBM). Don't get too hung up on that subgenre name, the track is delightfully melodic and full of anguish. The second track is from Ashbringer which is a very different flavor of the genre. The songs are much slower and more on the epic end of things. You're a lot more likely to enjoy this track over the first one.
Quote & Question: “You and I both know being conventional is overrated.” ― Rebekah Crane, The Upside of Falling Down
What's a book/movie/tv show that you think is highly overrated? Tell us why. But please be kind. :)
There’s a pile of pillows and burrito blankets on the left, a booth with infinite power outlets and ink quills on the right, and plenty of comfy armchairs. Feel free to grab a book off the shelf and read while you’re here. Just let us know if you find anything we should read too!
The only thing we ask is that you be cool. To one another. That’s it.
All desserts in The Two Tartes are calorie free. Long live the magic of the Internet.
