Hello fine people
As the title implies I'm currently ill. It's nothing major just your bog standard cold but it has kinda buggered up my voice a bit. And that got me thinking.
As fellow audio performers. What do you use as a throat soother? Personally I favour two things.
A recipe my mother got from a friend of hers who happens to be a pharmacist. Honey, Olive Oil and Dark Rum in equal measure. Tastes foul (I find honey very sickly) but by god does it work.
Mints. Ordinary shop bought mints. I favour Polo's but any mint confectionary will do.
I'm fascinated to hear what other people use and if anyone finds these methods effective I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks all.
I do so enjoy the good old Ricola candy. Aside from that lolipops and Hard liqourice are also great for a sore throat. Just have to keep sucking on it once in a while. Calm down there MrLiqourice
Anything sweet and viscous tends to work as far as drinking goes.
Good luck with the flu though
