Hello everyone. I have a pretty simple question for performers and listeners for a all around opinion is crucial to this question.

I recently have been doing multiple series of audios about different topics from the future to Quantum Immortality and everywhere in between. In doing these audios as a script writer and as a performer i have tried to make the stories more complex. Using things like plot twist and surprise endings in order to make the stories more involved and at least to me more interesting. While still keeping in mind that this is erotic audio and that sex and sexiness is the backbone of the product. So with that said do you think there is room for expanding the depth of the audios to include something a little more narrative driven or do you think it would be better just to stick to making the audios as sexy as possible and don't complicate it with heavy drama?

Now i know a lot of people are gonna say "Just record what you want and let the chips fall were they may." I get that....I really do and when all is said and done as a performer i want to make the audios i want to make all the while making something people actually want to hear. In that lies the main reason for my asking this question. Because the last few times i have made a series involving excess drama as the series I am currently in the middle of....the audios have been listened to but not overly well received. I'm not trying to complain or whine about the fact that some of my audios arnt performing like i would like but it does pose the question and I truly want to know if its better to put the effort into making the stories as "story" based as I have done recently or is it better to just remember this is erotic material and not to over complicate things.

Ok i got a bit long winded there but again as a writer and performer i would truly like to know what everyone thinks. Writers,performers and listeners.
