Post Body

While I never accepted his "offer", I had the painful displeasure of being contacted by this human being and engaging in any kind of conversation whatsoever. He came to me with a throwaway account or just one that he doesn't use. When he came to me with the offer, I told him he hadn't posted a single thing. He continued to ask for my skype for the next several messages. I never gave it out, but I was rather interested, not going to lie.

He said he could post my audios onto some google plus communities, and could possibly make me popular on there. He said there was a possibility of money involved. He said that he and his colleagues run several communities. I had never spoken to anyone else besides him. When I asked to see his work, he linked a pretty amateur-ish video with only 3 views. He said he could be my manager. No evidence given that he could do this properly. Clearly, I wasn't going to give him my skype, which he felt very entitled to have from the get-go.

I asked one final standard question, and received an answer that solified my decision. So, here's the last exchange between us.

There have been plenty of people who have been successful by being contacted by third-parties, but I highly doubt it would have ended up that way had I ended up working with this person. God forbid I sign any kind of contract and be stuck working with this person. I don't want anyone is the world to be tempted into doing any sort of collaborating with him, seeing how he talks to people who he's actually trying to pursue.

If you're new on GWA, I understand how appealing money can be in exchange for your talent, but please keep in mind that first and foremost, you should be your own manager. You don't need some random person doing that for you. Trust your gut. Don't give out your social media right away.

I'm not posting this person's username right away, as I don't want this post to be removed (mods please clarify if I'm fine posting it). Feel free to PM me and I'll give it to you as soon as I can. Thank you.
