Bamba’s Bar Bite

Brown sugar and bourbon steak tips (and mushrooms)!

For this week's nibbles, I'm blatantly stealing another chef's recipe because it's absolutely delicious and I need to share it all with you. If you need a meaty and moreish snack for a party, this is it!

Kitchen Daddy (not that kind of Daddy...) came up with this dish of meaty chunks of sirloin cap marinated in brown sugar, a smoky bourbon whiskey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, onion, and garlic. The meat is then grilled over almond wood for a smoky sweetness, and the marinade is reduced down with a couple splashes of red wine vinegar to make a sticky and piquant dipping sauce.

Of course, I wanna feed my vegetarian and vegan friends too, so if you're not into eating animals, I've also marinated some chunks of portobello mushrooms in the same marinade, except for substituting the Worcestershire sauce with balsamic vinegar. It's not exactly the same, but will still taste amazing after it's grilled.~
