Hi guys, LitHot here, this one was a tough one for me, we lost probably one of the most influential Canadian musicians this past week, he was an activist, a storyteller, lead vocalist of one of if not the best Canadian band ever, and all around a good dude. I had the pleasure of meeting Gord a few times when he did local music festivals while he was touring with The Tragically Hip, he was quiet but kind. He wrote songs in ways that made you think, made beautiful songs about horrible situations (see Wheat Kings and The Stranger in the playlist). He and The Tragically Hip are the only band I’ve seen make a country come together to watch their final show and 11.7 MILLION of us watched. So this weeks playlist is all Gord, with the band, without the band, with other bands, with lots to say. Rest In Peace.

I am ecstatic to welcome the Goddess of Tuesday, [The Notorious GLB](u/growlylittlebitch) to ReVEALEDCacciatore as our Sexy Shenanigans House DJ. Bamba’s Bar Bite

Lumpia!

I saw a bunch of Thirsty Thursday regulars having their own little lumpia party last week and lumpia was already on my list, so I figured why not invite everyone to the party this week!

If you aren't in the know, lumpias are popular Indonesian and Filipino snacks and street food pretty similar to spring rolls or egg rolls depending on how they're prepared.

I've chosen two popular examples of lumpia for you guys, but I'll definitely take requests! Sweet chili sauce, a chili-infused vinegar, and toyomansi (soy sauce with lime juice) are served on the side for dipping.

• Semarang lumpia is the most popular lumpia in Indonesia, and is filled with bamboo shoots, dried shrimp, and chicken before being fried until crisp and golden.

• Lumpiang gulay is a vegetarian option, filled with bean sprouts, shredded carrot, string beans, and shallot; available in fresh or fried varieties!
