I've been yoyo-ing for three years now, and it's always a fun and fulfilling hobby. Of course it has its not-so-great moments, too. Most of those moments involve hitting myself with it, but yesterday's moment topped them all.
I've been asked more than once if I've ever gotten the family jewels klunked when I fumble on a trick, and...it finally happened.
A female friend of mine and I were chilling at my place waiting for the rest of our friends to show up. I was practicing a trick called the Zipper (somewhat fitting), when, on coming out of the second half of the trick, the yoyo went too far and nailed me dead in the cajones. I went down, of course. While my friend sat on the couch. She was laughing like she'd just seen a funny cat video. So embarrassing...
Of course, once I felt better, I got back up and started throwing tricks again. A bit of pain is more than worth the mastery. I just hope it doesn't happen in front of the girls again, especially since I've caught some staring at me while I practice in public.
