Hey, if we banned you for posting gifs, whoops, our bad.

Once upon a time, we talked about how backstage was an audio (and text) only subreddit, and you, the community agreed. We decided that there would be no videos and no gifs allowed here, but due to a clerical oversight, we forgot to tell you guys half of the rules. That's on us.

But it's been made apparent that some of you guys want gifs. Our reasons for not wanting them remain the same: we're gonewildAUDIO, and while we love gifs (seriously, they're fantastic), this isn't the place for them.

Let us know your thoughts in the comments and vote if we should remain audio only. We the mods feel strongly about this, but that's just the opinion of just some normal (albeit super sexy) users.

Edit: for the sake of clarity, we have (to my knowledge) never banned anyone just for creating a post with a video or gif. We have taken some down, asked people to stop, and the only ban came to a bot-user.

I think we can all agree that video and gif POSTS are not conducive to our community. This is a matter of if we should allow it in the comments.

Edit 2: I realize this has only been up for just about 24 hours, but there is an overwhelming majority, and it's incredibly unlikely to swing the other way.

Gifs are hereby CONFIRMED ALLOWED on GWABackstage in the comments. Video and gif POSTS will continue to be removed.
