Ask Eve: Meeting Women

I'm doing another Ask Eve on meeting women, in the same vein as my last two (What It Feels Like For a Girl) based on listener questions. Guys just loved what the ladies had to say, and so I thought I'd continue the theme.

Some women say they know within minutes of meeting a man whether they will have sex with him or not (although not necessarily that night) - that we don't need to be 'seduced' as some men would believe, 'tricked' as others would believe, or in some other way talked into sex. Some women, however, say that they want to be pursued and seduced, made to feel special and wanted by a man, and need a man to make the first move.

This can be pretty confusing for the average guy, who doesn't know what the hell he's supposed to do.

Attraction, as we all know, is a pretty complex thing, and I can't hope to answer all the mysteries of it with just a few questions. These questions are designed to shed some light on what women prefer when meeting a guy or getting together. I put further hints and suggestions in brackets after the main question just to give you an idea of the kind of answer I'm looking for, but you don't have to answer these specifically if you have something else to say).

Meeting someone new

What's the ideal way for a guy to approach you? (Do you fall for funny pick up lines, or do you like conversation to start naturally?)

Is there anything that would definitely turn you off immediately? (Anything he can say or do that would make you reject him right away?)

What do you first notice about a man? (How important are looks/height/weight/dress? Do you like being approached for and flattered over your own looks?)

How long before you'd agree to go out with someone you just met? (Minutes/hours/days? Years? LOL)

Getting together

If you've ever crushed on a friend, has he noticed? What signals and signs do you wish men would pick up on that a female friend is interested?

Can a guy leave the Friend Zone once he's in it?

How could a male friend let you know that he's interested, in a way that you would appreciate even if you weren't interested?
