Is it too late to start playing gta online now

So I wanna buy gta5 for my ps4 and buy yearly psn but im worried that I might be a bit late cuz gta6 is coming out in like a year so im worried that everyone will go over there as soon as it launches and no one will stay on gta5 so I'll have no one to play with. So what do ya all think?

With all the modders and roleplayers I imagine GTA5 will stay active for at least a few years after GTA6 releases
