my apologies I'm a decade late into playing this game. but its my first time owning a console so i started to invest in gaming. I started playing GTA during this pandemic shit. I Played through GTA III, Vice City And San Andreas And just recently finished GTA IV.

My overall impressions of the games so far:

GTA 3 was the most challenging game for me.

Vice City has the best atmosphere and the best music.

San Andreas brought the wackiest most fun gameplay except for the Plane stuff (i'm really bad at it)

now Gta IV...

Can i just say that i feel empty after finishing IV, it had the best story and protagonist IMO and the most gritty vibe and im a sucker for edgy shit and I feel so oddly attached to Niko Bellic and i hate it because it feels like we won't be getting another game like it after GTA V (especially GTA Online's success.) The stuff i read about Niko's VA probably never returning to the franchise ever again, the writer Dan Houser and other essential Rockstar people leaving. It just sucks because i think i have become obsessed with the franchise especially this game.

I have Yet to finish TLAD/TBOGT as im still trying to get over such an impressionable game to me that is IV, nevertheless i'm excited to finish the DLCs.

I recently snagged the first Red Dead Redemption at a Goodwill and i'm planning to play GTA V and RDR2 sometime later.

And as i'm very intrigued with the Red Dead Redemption duo i have to say i'm strangely not excited to play GTA V. playing as Franklin, Michael, and Trevor don't excite me at all, the things that i have heard, the lacking storyline, less developed characters, the downgraded physics, the circle jerking that 4 is better than 5 kinda makes me want to skip 5 entirely but i'll still play because my sole purpose of binging these games were to appreciate and experience the evolution of the franchise and i'll admit GTA V is visually stunning.

so that's my terrible rant. that there won't be another game like 4 and that GTA Online sharkcards and short, tame single player stories like 5 will be the new norm, but also there is still no sight of GTA VI coming out.
